Devsisters Corporation is gearing up to launch the “Theatre Of Lies” update, version 5.1, for CookieRun: Kingdom. The update is scheduled for February 12, immediately following a maintenance period from 14:00 to 19:00 (GMT +9). This new version continues where 5.0 ended, introducing new features and characters. Before the update goes live, let’s dive into what it has to offer so you can jump straight into the action post-maintenance.
Introducing a New Cookie
The update introduces a new epic rarity cookie, “Mercurial Knight Cookie,” equipped with mercury powers. His special ability, “Silver Gleam Slash,” allows him to lunge at enemies, marking them with Silver Orbs. Collecting these Orbs, he inflicts additional damage.
His strengths include high damage to single targets and effective crowd control with Silver Orbs. However, he is susceptible to AoE (Area of Effect) attacks and requires precise timing to maximize his ability. He synergizes well with Cookies that buff or debuff, such as Frost Queen Cookie, Sea Fairy Cookie, and Dark Cacao Cookie.
New Legendary Costumes
Version 5.1 also brings two Legendary costumes to the game: Pure Vanilla Cookie’s “Mystic Gold: Viridescent Daydream” and White Lily Cookie’s “Mystic Gold: Moonflower Faerie,” both showcased in the update trailer on their official YouTube channel. Additionally, the Mystic Costume Shop will feature various other costumes.
Events And Additional Features
As announced in the version 5.1 update trailer, a new event, “Skirmish Raid: Circus of Shadows,” will be available for a limited time, offering diverse rewards. The update also includes adjustments to several cookies and Treasures to balance the game’s meta. For example, Blackberry Cookie’s skills have been enhanced, and the placement of arrow buttons on the Bounty page has been modified.
