Niantic Labs, on their official Twitter account, posted a tweet regarding the new season “World of Wonders,” arriving after the end of Timeless Travels. The next Pokemon Go season is set to begin on March 1, 2024, and end on June 1, 2024. A Pokemon Go season lasts for 3 months with a lot of events and here’s what we know so far about the new season.
Pokemon Go Next Season Is Called World of Wonders
World of Wonders is the name of the upcoming season in Pokemon Go, as shown in the teaser the developers released on their Twitter account. Not much information has been made available about the upcoming season. However, the teaser reveals the new season is called World of Wonders and showcases Pokemon like Nidoran, Butterfree, Pidgeotto, and Dragonite, all from the Kanto region. Therefore, it is evident from the teaser that this season will feature Generation 1 Pokemon. The Kanto region is beginner-friendly in terms of getting familiar with different types of Pokemon, and hopefully, a lot of new fans of Pokemon are going to try this game as they will know more about Pokemon featured in initial seasons.
Are the Ultra Beasts making their debut?
For those who don’t know, Ultra Beasts are extra-dimensional Pokemon and are very rare, only appearing in limited-time raids. The teaser was too short to fully understand what to expect in the upcoming season. But it managed to grab the curiosity of players by introducing a wormhole just before the teaser ends. This concept serves as a reference to the Ultra Beasts introduced in 2022 in Pokemon Go. The only way to catch Ultra Beasts is through raid battles, as they come through Ultra Wormholes during raid battles. This is why we can expect the Ultra Beasts to make their debut this season.
More details about the upcoming season are likely to be revealed at the Pokemon Presents event.
