The popular card battler game “Wildfrost” is making its way from PC to mobile this April. Originally launched for PC and Switch in April 2023, the game is now set to expand its reach just a year later, with publisher Chucklefish announcing an April release for mobile devices. So, the game will be available on both Android and iOS platforms, and eager players can already pre-register.
What Is Wildfrost?
Wildfrost Mobile is a tactical roguelike deckbuilder game for iOS and Android devices. The game is developed by Deadpan Games & Gaziter and published by Chucklefish for the PC and Switch versions. It throws you into a world gripped by an endless winter known as the Wildfrost. In this game, as a survivor, you must build a deck of powerful cards and strategic tactics to fight your way to the Sun Temple and banish the frost forever.
Gameplay And Features
Wildfrost Mobile combines strategic deckbuilding with roguelike elements for a constantly evolving and challenging experience. You’ll build your perfect deck from over 160 unique cards featuring companions, spells, and elemental items. Engage in turn-based combat, strategically using your cards and managing resources to overcome enemies and challenging bosses. As you progress, return to Snowdwell to expand the town. Construct new buildings like a Pet Shop or Inventor’s Hut to unlock even more cards, challenges, and events.
Every playthrough offers a unique experience with procedurally generated maps and encounters. Death is inevitable, but with each run, you’ll collect resources to improve your decks and unlock new content in Snowdwell.
Pre-Registration and Release Date
According to an announcement from Chucklefish, players can embark on their frosty adventure starting April 11th. It will be available on both Android and iOS platforms on the same date.
Pre-registration for the game has already been started, allowing users to secure early access by signing up through their official website. Notably, as the game operates on a paid model, those who pre-register will have the opportunity to experience a demo version prior to purchase, aligning with Chucklefish’s “try before you buy” model, as announced. Upon its official release, the game will be priced at $6.99 for both platforms.
