Specifically, in 2023, there is great anticipation for a long-awaited game in this genre called Indus Battle Royale, developed by SuperGaming.
Indus promises to deliver an immersive and action-packed gaming experience that will leave players on the edge of their seats. With its innovative gameplay mechanics, stunning graphics, and a host of unique features, this game aims to redefine the battle royale genre. If you’re eagerly anticipating the game, here’s everything we know so far about the Indus Battle Royale mobile game.
What is Indus Battle Royale?
Indus Battle Royale is a free-to-play game currently in development by SuperGaming. The game will be available on mobile, PC, and consoles. Unlike most Battle Royale games, the game focuses on its lore, offering a narrative-style experience. The game features futuristic locations, advanced weapons, beautifully designed characters, and immersive lore.
Lore
The lore of the game revolves around Indo-Futurism, which is described as envisioning a world that embraces Indian culture and explores science fiction. The story is set in a galactic setting, where the planet Indus is shrouded in dust called Nirvana, making it difficult for external beings to see. Indus is an untouched and mysterious planet, known for its anomalies and a rare and valuable material called Cosmium. The planet was discovered by a group called Coven, who are ruthless intergalactic forces with the goal of obtaining large amounts of Cosmium.
To assist them in their quest, Coven has recruited Mythwalkers through the Mythwalkers scheme. Mythwalkers are individuals from various galaxies who are tasked with obtaining Cosmium for the Coven. Players will take on the role of a Mythwalker in the game. Additionally, the game introduces character skins called Paragons, which are experimental technology developed by Coven. These Paragons allow artificial bodies to be controlled through a neural link.
Gameplay
Although detailed official gameplay reveals for Indus Battle Royale are yet to come, based on the information released so far, the gameplay promises to offer a unique experience compared to other available battle royale (BR) games. Players will find themselves on the enigmatic island of Indus, where an epic battle unfolds. Mythwalkers from distant galaxies will engage in combat on the battleground known as Virlok. In this game, players can choose from various Mythwalker characters to play as.
The game will begin with a skydiving sequence as players descend onto the battlefield, much like other BR games. Upon landing on Virlok, each Mythwalker will have two gun slots and will need to scavenge for supplies immediately. The weapons featured in the game are no ordinary firearms; they are dynamic and lethal.
The developers have revealed a particular gun called Judgement, described by the weapon concept artist as so powerful that facing it leaves no choice but to flee in the opposite direction. Judgment is a one-hit kill weapon that utilizes heavy ammunition.
In short, as Mythwalkers players will have to gather enough supplies, and their primary objective will be to locate and eliminate other Mythwalkers. Their ultimate duty is to survive and secure the valuable element known as Cosmium, with the intention of escaping through a portal. Once players are eliminated, they will not be able to rejoin the ongoing match but will have the option to queue up for the next game.
Interestingly, the developers have hinted that being the last player standing is not always the sole requirement for victory. It will be possible to obtain the rare material earlier and instantly win the game.
Trailer
There are two trailers for Indus mobile game: a first-look trailer and a gameplay trailer. Let’s focus on the gameplay trailer.
